Who can compete with the breathless, searing honesty of u.s. secret state artists?

Contrast it with this tepid british offering:

In Rumsfeld's view, the free press can co-exist with government sponsored/produced/paid news. "It doesn't mean we have to infringe on the role of the free press, they can go do what they do, and that's fine," says Rumsfeld. "
Well, it's not fine, but it's what it is, let's put it that way."
The excellent Winter Patriot puts it rather more straightforwardly:

The twice unelected President George W. Bush, the twice unelected Vice President Dick Cheney, current Secretary of State and former National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice, former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, former Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, and former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan.

The deliberately deceitful actions of these eight people ... have resulted directly and immediately in the unwarranted deaths of at least a million people, and the unnecessary destruction of the lives of millions more.
And it will kill and ruin many more, no matter how or when it ends.
And, by lucky coincidence, aangirfan, has a piece on 'home-grown' information terror

Logo of the month award - September

It was the mother lode, having scoured the world wide internet in search of educational imagery, imagine my dismay on receiving this message:

"images are protected by copyright. Please contact Media and Corporate Communications on 0845 045 45 45 if you wish to use any of the images displayed on this site."

As I have no wish to distract the jolly jack tars battling the all new category of underwater terror, you must click on the 'internet hyperlink' here to see this month's winner in all its glory.
The text has surprisingly little useful information, but these lines are solid gold:
"Whilst it is almost impossible to say with any certainty what a terrorist might look like, an individual’s activity or behaviour can become suspicious in the context of the location they are in. "

"
Members can report unusual activity through a central telephone number and website link. They may be sent urgent updates or contacted during times of heightened risk and may be given a specific mission regarding an individual, group or vessel causing suspicion."
Sieg Heil Salute the salty old sea dogs as they build Gordon's great 'Snitch Society'. We shall soon enjoy the comfort and security that was the hallmark of the Deutsche Demokratische Republik.
