Mental meltdown for Mr Jones?

Then again, it was a banker, R Gordon Wasson, Vice President of J.P. Morgan no less, who married a Russian woman and became so fascinated by the significance of the mushroom in Russian culture that he went off exploring among the native peoples of the world (none of whom were part of any sort of globalist elite and none of whom had any pretensions to such) to conduct ethnomcyological research...

What they're doing is making objects with their voices, singing structures into existence. They offer things to you, saying "Look at this! Look at this!" and as your attention goes towards these objects you realise that what you're being shown is impossible. It's not simply intricate, beautiful and hard to manufacture, it's impossible to make these things. The nearest analogy would be the Fabergé eggs, but these things are like the toys that are scattered around the nursery inside a U.F.O., celestial toys, and the toys themselves appear to be somehow alive and can sing other objects into existence, so what's happening is this proliferation of elf gifts, which are moving around singing, and they are saying "Do what we are doing" and they are very insistent, and they say "Do it! Do it! Do it!" and you feel like a bubble inside your body beginning to move up toward your mouth, and when it comes out it isn't sound, it's vision. You discover that you can pump "stuff" out of your mouth by singing, and they're urging you to do this. They say "That's it! That's it! Keep doing it!".

Alex Jones discovered some time ago that he can "pump "stuff" out of his mouth."

For example, incisive and insightful questions like: "Why does the Bible say don't do it?

No, just giving the ratings a boost, I reckon he would be obliged shove a few bob to Peter Finch if he were still alive.

"I reckon he would be obliged shove a few bob to Peter Finch if he were still alive"

at least 50% of the gross if Jones has any sense of fairness

though bringing in machine elves is a nice extra touch

Favourite comments underneath the AJ video so far...

"Where does the Bible say anything about not doing DMT? "

"Jones is really misinformed, he turns something beautiful and puts the Fear spin on it, but that's what he does for a living. I think he should do himself a favour and try DMT. The elves are real Ive seen them myself, but nothing to be feared."

..and what's the bible's line on wter filters?

I'll paraphrase something I read elsewhere on my travels - this is Alex Jones equating the psychedelic movement with the IMF in the minds of those poor dumb fuckers who are only just starting to understand exactly how hard and deep rich greedy bastards have been raping their arses.
Fuck Alex Jones.Hard.With a sandpaper condom and a broken bottle butt-plug.He turned 9/11 2007 into a neo fascist parade with his fucking black shirts and chanting.Just when thermite was being proven,IIRC.
Drugs got me back into reading 3 years after O-level merchant of venice and robert sodding frost murdered my love of books.I've never gotten into a bar brawl after smoking a joint.Up here in the north,MDMA destroyed football violence as it was pre-90s pyschedelic drug binge. They gave me the courage to stand up against my father, who despite being thrown onto the scrapheap after being replaced by machinery, still insisted I embraced the same system that had spat him out.
Theres a time and place for drugs, and theyre not for everyone. But that goes for tv,pork pies, beer, sex, you name it,theres some undisciplined twat who's taken it too far.

sorry for the incoherent rant.
columbo died.

As a seasoned recreational drug user,I just wanted to point out that fly agaric mushrooms are really not for the beginner spacecadet. So much will do nothing at all for you.A little bit more will fuck your mind wide open.A little bit more will kill you.
Don't be too hard on terence mckenna. He was a good guy.

The Alliance's love of incoherent rants is matched only by that of McKenna's travel diaries

He was clearly away with the Elves much of the time but magnificently so

He loses one gold star for rescheduling Timewave zero though

I think we all share your loss.

Hi Conrad, thanks for the background, the essence of your message is very clear.

"Don't be too hard on terence mckenna. He was a good guy."

He was, in a way that Leary wasn't, being as McKenna was rather more political than the likes of Leary and his "Turn on, tune in and drop out" crowds that were part of the wiley orchestrated programme that all but killed off the radical political movements of the 60s. See
Inside The LC - The Strange but Mostly True Story of Laurel Canyon and the Birth of the Hippie Generation
.

Back in Seattle 1999, in response to a question about what people should be doing to fight back against the things that those gathered in Seattle were opposing, McKenna responded, amongst other things, "Create art".

And here we are gathered around the Conspiraloon™ Alliance™ which is a piece of art that was created to address the issues of those who thought argumentation against valid unanswered questions that surround major events consisted of little more than, "oh, you're just a conspiracy theorist".

[HatTipColubmo] Oh, one last thing before I go... [/HatTip Columbo]

McKenna also provided one of the quotes that you'll find listed on the sidebar of my blog and in a couple of posts:

"If the truth can be told in a way so as to be understood, it will be believed." - Terence McKenna, via The Shamen

The idea that truth might be comprehensible if documented and phrased in way that it could be comprehended provided much of impetus behind the content and writing that was published on Reason.... back in the days when it was considerably more active than it is now.

The sentiment abides.

Hmm, that McKenna introduced "overpopulated planet" into a live version of ReEvolution had escaped my notice.

That sort of thing opens the door to all sort of potential horrors in pursuit of a golden age that likely didn't exist in the way that is championed with flawed idealist hindsight.
