Hitler And The Occult
Keith Austin, reviewer
April 1, 2008

How did Hitler decide he was a messiah and persuade a whole nation to follow him to damnation?
Adolf Hitler

Type Documentary
Channel National Geographic

This is a subject that has been mined many times in fiction - Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Constantine, Hellboy, Bulletproof Monk and English horror writer James Herbert's book The Spear - as well as documentary.

Based on Ken Anderson's 1995 book of the same name, this aims to show how the Nazi party was originally made up of several occult groups that believed a messiah was on the way to save Germany. Adolf Hitler decided that he was that messiah and somehow persuaded a whole nation to follow him down the road to damnation. How did he do that? Were the reasons economic and social? Or, wait for it, supernatural? It's already well documented that he appropriated Christian symbols - the Spear of Destiny, which supposedly pierced Christ's side on the Cross, and the Holy Grail - for his own purposes. Ditto the swastika, which had religious significance for earlier cultures. And didn't he commit suicide on the night of April 30, also known as Walpurgis, the night of the witches in Germany? Spooky.

Honestly! All this talk of Nazis!

I warned this would happen. Just because Volksjager - I mean Volkswagen - has taken over the Skoda plant again, and invaded Spain's Seat motor company, and Europe is being taken over by a fourth financial Reich, and there is talk of World Order, and food is being controlled, and water contaminated with fluoride, and there are secret police and identity papers, you lot keep on bringing up the bloody Nazis!

Tsk!

And then I'd be fucked.

I mean, they have given up, haven't they?

jon doy™ said...

Hang on. Mouse is right. In the highly compartmentalised pigeon holed and categorised hierarchical world we so dearly love and inhabit, if they were to stop, then to use Mouse's words we'd "be fucked".

And if we were fucked - as in no longer required - then in this highly compartmentalised pigeon holed and categorised hierarchical world we so dearly love and inhabit, there'd probably be nothing else for us to do. Think about it, in the world the ConspiraQuacks would like to inhabit, one where profit power and control were no longer the bottom line and no-one is categorised into a pigeon hole that comprises part of a hierarchy, they could just focus on telling people what the mainstream media is no longer willing or able to.

So in their world, they'd just be able to get on with what they wanted unrestricted, but in our world, we'd be fucked.

Is that the point? Or am I missing something?

Was Postman Pat bumped off by MI5? Surely he can't of died of S.A.D.S.? Cancer is just a byword for assassination, isn't it? Nobody dies of cancer.

jon doy™ said...

the stop-motion kid's show character ? dead ?

that was a bit hardcore giving a character in a kid's show cancer, still, hardly out of character for everybody's best and most honest friend, tv

sadly, far too many non stop-motion characters in this very real game of life die of cancer, or are dying from cancer, or are suffering cancer, it's a very real disease, and one in no way linked to the profit motive world we live in

and don't get me started being a loon about the so called 'health service', inhabited almost exclusively by people of good conscience and generous spirit, who are crippled by profit craving corporate entities - monsters - that know only too well that there is no more profit on cure day

of course people die of profit

i mean cancer

or get me started quacking on about how there is the intention to peg the upper limit of the world population at around half a billion people, and how fortuitous a reality it is that the profit motive behind every profit driven enterprise in this gloriously fucked up blip of hypercorporatism - fascism (that thing that 'isn't happening because i personally am not in a camp right now' [...being fucked over like the detention order people are, right now, and have been for years passed, or the people who're being tortured more overtly right now, and have been for years passed, those such as have had their nails pulled out and been forced to draw up bullshit maps to back up some bullshit plan that had no gonzo connotations whatsoever ...and once those people so-inclined have done their crowing and whooping at or silent submitting to the war on terror's 'war on somebody who isn't us' undertones, once the precedent has been set, then it'll start even being people who look like you - and could therefore be you, suffering this paranoid conspiracy theory that cuts, hurts, bleeds and fears for loved ones that is utterly real for those currently caught up in it - precedents are more dangerous close up than they may appear at a distance]) to use one of the correct words for it - that which we are encountering right now, that the inherent profit motive somehow manages to conjure something that looks for all the world latterly to be antihuman and devoid of conscience

whether the crop circles did it or it came from some cloud of chaos, the way everything from health upwards seems to have peaked a while ago now, suggests that a little nudge of biofuel induced food shortage here and a little more cancer giving growth hormone meat there, and a myriad other little nudges mixed in between will assist the numbers in the right direction

or shayler forbid i start ranting about how assassination technology exists from the scary for the news "not" meant to be discovered radiological poisonings style offings right the way through to the bruiseless punch-induced heart attack, but when the cloaked other dimensional time travelling space alien Mayans gather so much data on everyone these days and get away with murder, then all they need is for you to be thoroughly frightened by the potential therein and shut the hell up complaining

it's a fucking game to the Mayan hyperbeings, and it's time people stopped playing the game imposed on them, and start playing a game of something useful such as sitting on a hilltop thoroughly believing that the classified military equipment "UFO" gliding over their head definitely didn't originate on and from earth, something useful like that

i think i've just worked out something quite clever for a Conspiretard such as myself: do some of you hobbyist antiloons do what you do because you think you'll somehow be guaranteeing your subservient wage slave or wage slave owning existence will be one of the 500,000,000 surviving Gaia Mother Earth's children ? i suppose the odds look favourable

i wish i had that kind of level of trust, to trust in such an idea

Thanks for that revealing 674-word insight into your mind jon doy. Amongst the gibberish, I think I can discern two areas of concern you have, both of which show how misinformed you are. Response:

1. We on average live longer now than we ever have done.
2. We on average have more leisure time than we ever have done.

Regarding the cull of 6 billion people, well just keep reading those illuminati websites jon!

Anonymous said...

1. So?
2. So?

jon doy™ said...

thanks Anon for counting all them words up and finding them to equal zero, my calculator is missing that extra button

they weren't insights into my mind, however, so much as statements of widely believed fact

"we on average live longer" ...i think you'll find the peak is not my furtive imagination

we on average have more diabetes, heart disease, cancers and similar diseases than ever before, we on average are sustained against these diseases by massively profitable 'management-treatments', which often necessitate augmentation and complimenting with more and more highly profitable management systems

much of the rise in diabetes is attributable to the amount of refined sugars in the modern diet, and there are many people who've by change of diet got themselves into a state of health where they do not require pharmaceutical intervention

corporations aren't interested in those kinds of solutions

much of the rise in cancers is attributable to the ever escalating corruption and bastardisation of food ...and things such as, ooh, is he ? he's mentioning ...yes, fluoride !

whether somebody dies younger today than they would have twenty years ago, is not the only factor here, in further answer to your point 1, somebody who would be dead today but for the medication they receive (often a solution to something that would not have existed to the extent it does now twenty years ago - before the peak), does live longer than they would have done before, but it's not the same as the utopian full-health imagining that you are suggesting

the peak is being obscured by disease management brought to us by companies that have a vested interest in - should they discover some easy, free prevention or cure for some terrible disease - not telling anyone a damn thing about it

"we on average have more leisure time" ...well, it's true that the average person has less chance of finding a job these days thanks to automation, globalisation, and recession, but far too much of that leisure time is spent hunting around for food that's affordable, for fuel that's affordable, for a home that's affordable and so on

i'm so glad you raise the Spectre of the "illuminati websites", because as soon as information is posted on a fully paid up antilizard, 'teh Juws', crop circle, 2012 or alien invasion related website, it instantly ceases to be true no matter how true it was before

and anyway, they're all illuminati websites

i know this one is

jon doy™ said...

as for the "cull", you don't need to cull 'em all, if you can persuade as many as possible to be living 'alternative' lifestyles, if you can persuade as many as possible that having children is a crime, if you can make having a child sufficiently costly - carbon rations, taxes, wages flat and prices on the rise - then you don't need to physically do much killing, not if you're patient

there's so much choice out there for those with a mind to have the place a little less populated, so why stick to one thing when you can have a little of everything ?

Steady on jon, I nearly fell of my chair then! I was almost in agreement with you there; before you went on to ruin it with the usual Conspiraloon simplifications, generalisations and, well, plain lunacy.

I agree with you about junk food, but your opinion that its proliferataion is part of some master plan to kill off 90% of humanity, or at the very least to cause health problems that pharmaceutical companies can make billions out of curing, provides the perfect example of where Conspiralunacy gets it so wrong.

Yes, companies flog us junk food because they know WE BUY IT. The solution is not to eat junk food. Remember, capitalism is what WE make it. Tesco's favourite defence when they are rightly criticised for everything from damaging people's health and the environment to ruining small towns and local businesses is: "People are voting with their feet". And you can't really argue with that. I try to make a difference by not shopping in Tesco and eating a healthy diet. If enough people did the same, then those who realised that money could be made out of selling people shit will realise that money can be made out of selling people healthy food. It is OUR choice. In fact, many millions of people are turning away from mass-produced food, as evidenced by the rise in health foods, organic produce, farm shops, etc. The criticism of this, normally made by Guardianistas, is that the poor can't afford to eat all this lovely fresh food. Well I'm poor, and I've had to accept that I will have to eat less meat. 50 years ago, a whole chicken was a luxury that an ordinary family only ate several times a year. Now it's £4 in a supermarket and full of additives and fats that give you heart disease. We need to pay more for healthy food, and if that means we can't eat chicken or steak every day, then so be it.

Now these are the parameters of a sensible debate jon. Capitalism is not something forced down our throats by a handful of ultra-rich bankers hell-bent on controlling our destiny. We are it and we decide its destiny. Everything about MacDonalds, for instance, is vile, so don't eat MacDonalds. And if you do, don't complain if you get fat and ill and drug companies try and make money out of curing you.

Capitalism is not the over-arching, monolithic 'system' you make it out to be. It is easily derided for its excesses, but the small farmer growing turnips is just as much a 'capitalist' as the C.E.O. of Tesco. Some say politicians are weak because it is really big business that is in control. They are right to a degree, but it should be remembered that we are big business! We work for them, we produce their products, and we buy them. It suits your political objectives to pretend that 'they' are a set of exploiters apart from 'us'.

On pharmaceutical companies, you surely can't be serious in thinking they withhold cures for diseases from us? I have dozens of friends and relations whose lives have been saved by these medications. Many diseases that a century ago killed millions are have now either been eradicated or are easily cured. Yes there is a massive increase in cancer, but that is partly due to people living long enough to get it, which they wouldn't have done when the life expectancy was fifty. Incidentally, in other 'capitalist' countries, such as Japan, the incidence of cancer is much lower than in Britain or America, because of the healthier food they eat. And our poor national diet is nothing new. You should read about what the Elizabethans liked to eat and drink. Lots of animal, washed down with a quantity of alcohol that would be off the scale of today's RDA; they barely knew what vegetables were. Many of the wealthy died of gout, the poor often remained healthier because of the physical work they did. All of them were susceptible to and died of a variety of diseases which are now cured with ease.

There are many legitimate criticisms to be made of the way we live now, and we would be in agreement on a lot of them. I am not narrow-minded or lacking in perception, and nor are most people who take issue with you. What irritates is your belief that you occupy the fringes of political discourse only because the mainstream can't accept the power of your ideas. I'm afraid that the mainstream thinks you're crackpots jon, and they do have the critical faculties to come to that conclusion. Whoever wrote the ten characteristics of Conspiraloonery had it bang on. And I fully expect this comment to be answered with all the usual sarcasm and self-parody that works so well to hide a Conspiraloon's lack of a precise argument in response to a precise criticism.

@Anon 11:35

this all goes to prove the fringe ideology i have been espousing for so long now: that most people have more in common than in difference if only they are given, and give themselves, opportunity to see it

as for the whole one true truth that we at the Conspiraloon Alliance possess, well, no-one else is as smart and perceptive as we are, having all the answers and best analysis as we do

but actually, i personally like to think in terms of ultraloonery of the sort we're so fond of, as simply being the tinfoil to all that 'there's NEVER ANY CONSPIRING EVER EVER EVER' point of view pumped out as a constant white noise from somewhere or other

i know that we sometimes come across as overly meek, lacking in willingness to make controversial comments, and humble to the point of mild impoliteness, but we find our discretion and good manners to have beneficial effects

for myself i think some of this hypertheorising emanates from not actually being at any illuminati meetings and therefore not actually knowing what's really going on, and some comes from having seen how there is some almost inherent 'evil' within money itself - a stochastic, coincidental, not actual but 'on the ground' quite real 'evil'

how and where you spend money does have an impact - i've been saying similar things for years myself, but the impact is not necessarily much greater than casting a vote in an election because other people still vote for that which you don't want, and that which you don't want takes over and/or destroys those things you would have voted for

as for the 'good' food: being a Loon i am now obliged to point out that the plan - wherever it hails from, or even if it just coincidented itself out of thin air - is to obfuscate the state of our food by making "organic" utterly meaningless, or rather the almost diametric opposite of what people think it's supposed to mean, so that a ge cow fed ge feed, injected with ge antibiotics, and infused with ge growth hormones all of which promote ill health that the pharmaceutical companies will then have a captive 'consumer' market as a result of, will be labelled as "organic" and with no mention of its gm credentials

there is ONE company, ONE corporation, it just looks like lots of slightly smaller competing ones

small business people - and small 'capitalists' too - are tolerated up to a point

so either keep trusting that that organic food next year still is what it was twenty years ago, or join the Loon team, uncovering the real alien truth

Take your accusations about Wikipedia ('Erasapedia') for example to see how the Conspiraloon brand of democracy (TM) works. I've had a good read on there about the Israel-Palestine conflict, which, I suppose, is the sort of contentious issue that you think they've erased over. It seems to me that they (sorry, we) have given a balanced, objective overview of the conflict. But because they do not subscribe to your view, which I would presume is that Israel is wholly to blame, they are therefore biased.

Whatever your view on the Israel-Palestine conflict (and mine happens to be that they're both as bad as each other, with innocent people caught up inbetween), you would have to accept that there is more than one view on the subject. But because the contributors of Wikipedia have not opted for a wholesale condemnation of Israel, they therefore have erased the truth (TM), right?

To be fair, I think they closed the editing on the 9/11 page because the whole thing became so tiresome and frustrating that even the editors lost interest. If you read the discussion pages then you can get an idea of the relentlessness that the poor sods had to put up with. Of course, if you believe the towers were rigged with explosives then you can start a website saying so. But the majority of people does not believe that, and so Wikipedia reflects that opinion, allowing for a section on conspiracy theories. It's all a bit more boring and mundane than you think jon.

and: as for the 'good' food: being a Loon i am now obliged to point out that the plan - wherever it hails from, or even if it just coincidented itself out of thin air - is to obfuscate the state of our food by making "organic" utterly meaningless, or rather the almost diametric opposite of what people think it's supposed to mean, so that a ge cow fed ge feed, injected with ge antibiotics, and infused with ge growth hormones all of which promote ill health that the pharmaceutical companies will then have a captive 'consumer' market as a result of, will be labelled as "organic" and with no mention of its gm credentials

there is ONE company, ONE corporation, it just looks like lots of slightly smaller competing ones

small business people - and small 'capitalists' too - are tolerated up to a point

so either keep trusting that that organic food next year still is what it was twenty years ago, or join the Loon team, uncovering the real alien truth

Anon's/Anons' cogent reply: "...the impact is not necessarily much greater than casting a vote in an election because other people still vote for that which you don't want, and that which you don't want takes over and/or destroys those things you would have voted for."

That's called democracy jon!

JD's reply to that: whichever Anon i'm supposed to be addressing about "democracy":

i was drawing an analogy about why commerce is fucked, using how democracy is fucked figuratively

i know what it's called

Anon(s) in question then proceed to continue in their "parameters of a sensible debate" [a stock phrase - the use of stock phrases being another registered Conspiraloon™ tactic] - by their "inability to answer questions" - a registered Conspiraloon™ tactic - by changing the subject, and further, conflation in order to confuse

"parameters of a sensible debate", are simply the parameters of the disingenuous, the insincere, the politician and the corporate hack, of the marketing cock and the PR-ick

It's true what others have alluded to and what the Anonymous poster involved must know to be any good at debating; the "parameters of a sensible debate" are just the rules of the absolute cad, the comprehensive cockend, folk for whom the side that triumphs matters more than the principle in question.

The 'skilled debater' is just a liar and would-be confuser, a marketeer.

The marketeer lies to them self in order to believe the lies they tell others.

The closer the 'master debater' comes to perfecting their craft, the further they are from any meaningful grasp of reality that might give them meaning.

And that makes them as irrelevant, as lacking in sanity and a grounding in reality, and worthless, as they claim loons to be.

The 'master debater' is just a hollow failure waving the flag of the victor.

Anon debater: You are *quite* a good [self confessed] debater, and that is why you're *quite* an unquestionable cockend.

as for democracy, if democracy did work, if we had true democracy, democracy being the rule of the mob - making all manner of decisions that we might not agree with - then in the case of everything of any import whatsoever there'd be a referendum on it

and even with the propaganda turned up a few notches to keep the results of the referenda turning out how the fascists want them, it is my humble opinion that there'd be no "war on terror", no wars being fought by 'us' abroad, and fuck knows what other marvellous differences there might be ?

and before anyone mentions that no-on would vote in these hypothetical referenda because no one votes at present, that's a load of bollocks because the reason why people don't vote in this 'democracy' of ours as it is, is because it's a bollocks waste of time, things being as they are

democracy as it stands today has built-in failure

every four years you vote for the best deception, the best lies, and then they spend the next four years proving the deception to be deception, and the lies to be lies

the other day some wanker politician - oh yes, it was that wanker jack straw - was admitting that there is a "cycle" where things just repeat

in other words we're all trapped like one of those bicycle wheel reflectors just going round and round and round in their cyclical wheel of bollocks on a jolly down a cull-d-sac of turd

Mr Sock said...

Why do you think that all the bad things would actually stop, jon?

jon doy™ said...

because the people would see that their decision was actually counting and the more controversial or dangerous the proposal in the referendum the more people would come out against it, and i firmly believe that most people have more in common than in difference if given the chance to see and express it

most people just want to do no harm to others and have no harm done to them

politics would be dead, long live politics

Mr Sock said...

But if there were no war on terror how would we protect ourselves from the terrorists?

jon doy™ said...

we wouldn't need to protect ourselves from the terrorists because there'd be no need for terrorism

Mr Sock said...

Thank you jon, that was both compelling and informative.

Keyboard Monkey said...

What load of naive tripe!

jon doy™ said...

i'm so glad you brought up my "naivety"

you see in a world where no person has to buy power because they have power, people would themselves be harder to buy and therefore harder to corrupt into doing something unpleasant, because power was fundamentally with the people there'd be less corruption and unpleasantness, which would lead to less of the many things that people put up with before they resort to terrorism

Keyboard Monkey said...

Steady jon, I just shat myself with surprise there because you're right. Or you would have been except you're a Conspiraloon so everything you say is wrong!

Michael Gene Sullivan might have said...

Quote Anonymous 11 June 2009 11:35: "the small farmer growing turnips is just as much a 'capitalist' as the C.E.O. of Tesco."

Only if the "small farmer" is employing -- exploiting -- others. And even then, if Tesco/Walmart etc had the power and influence of a single turnip farmer, the world would be a far lesser mess than it is.
